The Ultra O’s symmetrical rope baskets are ideal for assisted breaking devices, pulleys, swivels and shackles. They also give stable loading characteristics, as attachments can self-centre under load with minimal movement from the carabiner.

Oval connectors are popular in rope access and tree care situations where multiple connectors, slings, ropes or even pulleys can be connected. They are equally at home in fall arrest situations or as part of a pre-rigged rescue system. The round basket shape allows any of the connection points to self-centre when weighted – this helps avoid the unnerving click that often happens with a more D-shaped connector. The symmetrical basket mean rotation within systems is not required as they sit comfortably either way round.

Keylock clean nose for snag free connection

DMM’s patented ‘Taperlock’ closing mechanism increases gate push-in and cross gate strength using a special flared profile on the nose of the carabiner, as well as allowing a snag free connection for your ropes, slings and devices.

Captive bar option for security

Many of our connectors can be supplied cross-drilled to accommodate captive bars. This means that the lanyard or attachment cannot be removed and ensures that the direction of force applied in the event of a fall is along the major axis of the connector, giving maximum strength and holding power. The captive bars themselves are not for load bearing use.

The nose on our solid gate carabiners slots into a groove in the gate, allowing the carabiner to achieve full strength without a gate notch. This design gives the nose a continuous surface that will not snag on gear, bolts or slings, giving greater useability.

I-Beam construction techniques allow carabiners to be lighter without compromising strength. This is achieved through hot forging, a process which allows metal to be made into complex shapes that improve functionality.

The PerfectO is a compact true oval connector that minimises the eye-to-eye length whilst maintaining usability and easy one-handed use. Their shape provides effective centring of loads and the fully rounded rope bearing areas increase carabiner and rope longevity.

The DMM Porter 70 litre bag is designed for carrying loads over greater distances than the Transit bags. Heavy duty tarpaulin construction and a waterproof lid protect contents from the elements and a moulded back panel and padded Rucksack straps forms a substantial carry system.
